The Damsel who knew too much 2

Determined not to let it end this way, from a deep well of inky blackness the tiny spark that was the English Damsel soul struggled. The eyes of the cooling body she could barely control opened and she looked into the face of a strangely beautiful, pale angel... she realized she was looking at her own reflection. Had the coincidental time of day produced this dreadful piece of irony or had the gangsters indulged in a cruel sense of humor? The anchor bearing her helpless body to a cold end had been dropped into the harbor at low tide. The surface, light and life was less than 10 feet from her. She desperately clung to life and hope as pitch blackness and the cold of the ocean threatened to overwhelm her fragile hold on consciousness...

Artist's Notes: Why can I never stop at good enough? Although this is a nice upskirt shot at very graceful gams, my intent was to show the drowning girl looking at her own reflection. The leg show resulted from efforts to keep the anchor and sense of being underwater visible. This took forever to render (well, pretty long anyway) because I was using raytracing on a distorted mirror surface to produce the effect of Penelope looking up at her face reflected on the surface of the water. Not much Photoshop... all Poser. I'm not happy with some of the lighting which turned out to be kind of weird (what's up with light coming from the ocean bottom) but in order to make the figure visible I had to set up a number of auxillary lights.

I hope it is well received... it's not as traditional a framing as the picture that precedes it.
